
20-year-old Sven Sander Šestakov (pianist & composer) participated in national and international competitions - in 2014, he won 3rd place at the 3rd International Music Competition in Stockholm, and in 2015 in the piano performance with Gerda Klemm, he participated in the XIII International Music Competition in Padua, Italy. In 2016, he won 2nd prize at the VIII Estonian Young Pianists Competition. He is a member of Trio A-312.
Except for his career as a pianist, has been working as a flute class concertmaster at the Jõgeva Music School since the autumn of 2016 and is also a member of Rene Eespere's composition class at EAMT. In the field of composition, the achievements are the final with the piano song "The Guide to Darkness" in the competition "Young Composer 2017", the main prize at the Young Composers Competition of Young Piano Competition "Lustlik piano 2017". Sven Sander is a member of the Tartu contemporary music organization TaHe, founded in 2017.
The 18-year-old Tanel-Eiko was born in 2000 in Tallinn and developed an interest in percussion instruments since his early childhood. He currently studies at the Tallinn Music High School, from which he will graduate in 2019.
He performed at several festivals and musical events, such as the Baltic brass instruments festival in Vilnius in 2015 and Percussion Plus 2016 in Tallinn. He performed as a soloist with the Estonian Youth Wind Ensemble, and he has been a part of collectives like the Tallinn Music High School symphonic orchestra, the Reaalmažoor youth orchestra, Uue Tänava Orkester, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, and many others. He has also participated in courses in Belgium, Russia, Italy, and Estonia.
Tanel-Eiko has participated in several national and international competitions, and won a good deal or got special recognition. In 2016 he came first in ENKOR and the Great Composers Competition in the United States, and won the Saint Petersburg Open Youth Percussion Competition, performing in the solo marimbas category. He won the jury’s special recognition award in 2017, which got him the chance to perform at the prestigious Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg, Russia. In 2018, Tanel-Eiko won Classical Idols, a very popular Estonian tv show.
